The three hours jungle trek is designed for people who love to see the orangutan but not strong enough to do full day walking in the jungle, or you don’t have lots of time to stay in Bukit lawang. You still have big chance to spotting semi wild orangutans or other wildlife with our expert guide.

Itinerary

Our expert knowledge guide will meet you after breakfast at 9:00 am at your hotel/guest house where you stay, you will join with the other guests joining the trek and not more than six people unless your own group is larger than this group size.

Walking for about 15minute pass the rubber plantation before entrance the national park, when we arrive at border of the jungle our expert guide will give a briefing how to behave in the jungle. You search the orangutans and other animals together in the wild, when we meet the orangutans you would enjoy it the time to observe and learn about how do they live in the wild (to climb, moving through the branches, eat fruits, play/care with their baby, or build their nest up on the trees), grab your camera and take the picture as much as you want as long you keep in distance and do not use your camera flash. Also have chance to see the other animals if we lucky such as Thomas leaf-monkey, Silver leaf-monkey, Siamang, White-handed gibbon, Pig-tailed macaque, Monitor lizards, Sumatran peacock, Red giant flying squirrel and Malayan giant squirrel and our expert guide will explain to you about flora and fauna.

On the way we will take a break, our guide will serve you by tropical fresh fruits that we brought with us from home such as pineapple, banana, orange, watermelon and passion fruit, or if you come in the right month at fruits season time you will try other fruits such as (Rambutan, Mangosteen and Mango). DAY 2. Enjoy the first morning in the jungle we will offer you coffee or tea while we prepare you breakfast and also cook for our lunch after breakfast we will pack our staff to next camp at 09 am. Spotting wild life for wilder animals our guide will follow your speed level and take regularly break to have more chance to see the animals journey 4-5 hours we will reach second camp at Landak river and you can have swim in the crystal water and bigger river and wonderful jungle, we will offer you coffee and tea with cookies and while the crews cook for our dinner.

DAY 3. Third day we totally walk 6 – 7 hours in the water follow up the river to camp 4 (Uning camp site). very important to use water shoe during river walk for safety and we provide plastic bag for electric staff. In Uning camp site there is mineral water near our camp which is attract animals to drink like deer, wild pig, and if you really lucky you can see foot print of Sumatra tiger or Sumatra elephant. The best chance to watch animals in the mineral water is after dinner or early morning at 5 am.

DAY 4. Ater breakfast we walk 10 minutes in river before we climb last hill to final camp at Bahorok river journey 3 – 4 hours we will reach the final camp (Alur Perak) at this camp site we will do the tube rafting back to the village, you can have good swim in this river and enjoy the noon sun in river side while we prepare the camp and cook for our dinner or just relax enjoy coffee or tea in river side.

DAY 5. After breakfast, pack up of all our stuff and we will start tube rafting from campsite to the village and we provide water proof plastic bag for all your staff. Very important to have sun block before we start rafting journey 2 hours we arrive at Bukit lawang .
