Welcome to the jungle challenge and adventure to spend for three days jungle trek with our professional team. You will go deeper in the jungle to explore more to search wild animals, you will hike more and will increase your knowledge about the tropical rainforest and the main goal of this trek is to spot orangutans and other wildlife in their natural habitat. When we meet the orangutans, you would enjoy it the time to observe and you have many opportunities to take amazing photos and an experience of a lifetime (to watch them climb, moving from the trees, eat fruits, play/care with their baby, or build their nest up on the trees),
You will camp at two different peaceful and beautiful places in the Gunung-Leuser National Park. At the first night we will camp on the Jambur batu stream (Adi black), which is a small river between the Landak and Bohorok rivers, and the second night on the Bohorok rivers.
You can also enjoy Indonesian food delicious cooked expertly prepared by professional team as long as we were in the jungle.
Itinerary
Day 1: The tours will begin after breakfast at 9 am, our expert and friendly guide will pick up you at the hotel/guest house where you stay, you will join with the other guests joining the trek, not more than six people unless your own group is larger than this group size. After you walk around 15 minute you will arrive at the border, have small briefing from the guide how to behave well and respect to the nature before entrance the National Park.
We will start the adventure to explore the jungle about 5-6 hours to the first campsite. See the critically endangered Sumatran Orangutan in its natural habitat and you will earn memorable memories to last a lifetime – walking, sleeping, living in the vast tropical rainforest jungle with our professional team. If we are lucky will see the other animals, such as Thomas leaf-monkey, Silver leaf-monkey, Siamang, White-handed gibbon, Pig-tailed macaque, Monitor lizards, Sumatran peacock, Red giant flying squirrel and Malayan giant squirrel. The guide will explain about all plant species and animals you will encounter in the rainforest.
At noon around 1pm, take a rest to stop for lunch in the middle of the beautiful jungle, we provide fried rice + egg and tropical fresh fruits such as pineapple, watermelon, passion fruits, orange and banana as the desserts. After lunch finish, we continue to explore the jungle to spotting the wildlife towards to the first campsite at Jambur batu (Adi black) stream.
Once you arrive at tent, you could go to the river and unimaginably delicious cool water and fresh from the mountain stream as you swim at the end of your day, we will provide hot tea or coffee + biscuit after you finish a swim. The guide will help to cook prepare for dinner and we will have dinner around 7pm..” enjoy your dinner with Indonesian food delicious cooked expertly prepared by professional team..” Hope you like the jungle food cooked by our professional team.! Afterwards the guide will play the jungle game and trick for enjoy a fun night and happy with a little snack, tea or coffee before sleeping.
Day 2: In the morning after you wake up we will provide you with tea or coffee + snack, enjoying the morning time to watch and listening wildlife surrounding the campsite while the team will cook for the breakfast, for breakfast you will have toast + egg + cheese + tomato and cucumber or banana pancake + chocolate + lemon.
After finish breakfast at 9:30 we will start walk through the jungle for 4-5 hours to second camp, search the wild orangutans and other wild animals with our expert guide and he will explain to you about the medicine plant that grow in the jungle and still often used for the people who live in the village. At 1pm take lunch break, for lunch we provide fried noodle or fried rice + egg we brought and wrapped cooked from a tent, afterwards we will give you the tropical fruits as the dessert. After lunch finish continue to explore the jungle to search the animals towards to the campsite and will be arrive at the tent around 3-4pm. The campsite on the banks of the Bohorok river.
Once you arrive at tent, you could go to the river and unimaginably delicious cool water and fresh from the mountain stream as you swim at the end of your day, we will provide hot tea or coffee + biscuit after you finish a swim. The guide will help to cook prepare for dinner and we will have dinner around 7pm. if the weather good we could have dinner outside while watching the star on the sky and firefly fly around us, we will provide you with delicious Indonesian food cooked expertly prepared by our professional team. After finish dinner we play the jungle game or we can make the burnfire or fishing in the river, enjoy a fun night and happy with a little snack, tea or coffee before sleeping.
Day 3: After you wake up in the morning, we provide you tea or coffee + biscuit while listening the melodious of jungle music from the wildlife such as gibbons, monkeys and birds. The team will cook breakfast for you, we provide you with toast + egg + cheese + tomato and cucumber or banana pancake with chocolate + lemon. After breakfast we continue the journey to spotting wildlife about 3 hours to return back to the hotel. Our expert guide will explain to you about flora and fauna during walk through the jungle and you will have more experience to have lunch break in the middle of the jungle and fresh fruits for the dessert by the jungle style. The Sumatra Leuser Treks Bukit Lawang 3D/2N will be end about 2-3pm.
